The Audit Commission should move OUT of the Health Dept

Vered Shalev-Hurvitz: Dr Lev, You say that if you had the Power, you would. But in the case of my father you did the exact opposite.

Not only you did nothing against any member of the Internal Medicine Dept of Tel Hashomer, but you buried and blatantly contradicted

the conclusions of a previous Investigative Committee headed by your predecessor, Prof Hershko.

Three (3) years AFTER the investigation was concluded, without any investigation of your own whatsoever, under pressure you issued

a letter to Prof Afek, Director of the Dept of Health, alleging that there was no wrongdoing in the care of my beloved father.

The press was shocked by your conduct and brought it up to my attention ! You did not even address a copy of your letter to my family,

despite the fact that I lodged a formal complaint.

In conclusion, “One Can NOT let the Cat Watch over the Milk”, as the conduct of Dr Lev himself demonstrates beyond the preponderance

of the evidence that the Health Department’s Audit Commission can NOT be part of that Dept.

Hence, the Audit Commission MUST be OUT of that Department, otherwise there shall NEVER have any progress whatsoever.

Seneca was right ”To Err is Human. To Repeat Error is of the Devil.” This conduct is criminal !

Dan Bental – State Comptroller:

In our report we unequivocally recommended to remove the Audit Commission from the Health Dept, as the process shall be more objective, without

conflict of interest, etc…

The State Comptroller also pointed out that it is inadmissible that the finalization of the conclusions of the investigative committee can drag over 3 to 5 years.

There is some very strange process. We had meetings with Prof Gamzu, Director of the Health Dept at the time. We were assured that orderly processes will

be established, but to date we have not received it.
